This piece was commissioned by Harvest Assembly, Chesapeake Virginia and was in support of a prophetic word given to the church about Harvest being a culture creator and God breathing on the whole seven cities region to send to the nations.

The image was born out of a vision I had about the region being united and the overarching concept is that each city has a unique flavor or color, but is combined spiritually.

The Owl has been adopted as the symbol for the Prophetic move of this age. This 36×24 oil on canvas piece depicts a Snowy Owl in flight. Owls have the ability to see in the dark places and as such are a perfect representation of the Prophetic Office of the Church.

I have this painting on my easel right now.

It has been in this state of completion for a couple months. I needed to wait for the background to dry before I started on the owl.

I think it is dry.

The scale “sketch” below is for another project I am working on for my church. The finished piece will be 72×36

Thankfully, I do not need to complete if before August. There is a fair amount of disruption and change in my professional life right now and I hope and pray things will settle down by July.

Don’t get me wrong, I am excited about the stuff in process, just not all that excited about the change that is going on around the stuff in process.

Not sure that makes sense and frankly, I have no idea what I am doing. This is very much a walk of faith.

Back to things I do know. The finished piece will be huge, 6 feet wide, and will be a representation of the unity that needs to happen in Tidewater. The seven cities of the region will be depicted by different colors all merging into one over a map of the area.

I plan on using glitter and this fun stuff:

I want the finished piece to sparkle when you walk past it.

That effect, like everything else, is in process.

I think that could be a song.

This charming oil on canvas painting features a couple out for a morning walk in Spain. I had the privilege of shooting this picture while on a walk with my girlfriend, now wife, and it is one of our favorite memoires of our trip.

This powerful acrylic on canvas painting was inspired by a trip to Bethel Church in Redding California. This commanding statue sits on the grounds of Bethel Church overlooking the campus and exudes the presence of royalty.

“A Place No More” was my first impressionistic piece created  in High School Art class. This downtown Brainerd building scene, like many small midwestern towns, is no longer standing. The foreground building burned to the ground shortly after this painting was completed.
